• What is Silk’n LED Face Mask?

  Silk’n LED Face Mask is a skin improving beauty tool. It can be used to tackle a range of skin issues, including signs of aging, acne and dry skin.

• Which skin problems are tackled by the 4 LED colours?

  Red light, 622nm: reduces fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen and helps to improve blood circulation. Suitable for all skin types.
  
  Blue light, 463nm: targets the bacteria that cause acne and helps normalise oil production for clearer skin and improved skin texture. Suitable for oily skin.
  
  Yellow light, 592nm: reduces redness and soothes and softens the skin. Suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
  
  Purple light, 425nm: anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing properties to improve the vitality of the skin. Suitable for all skin types.

• What is the difference with other face masks on the market?

  As opposed to masks that are made of hard, non-flexible material, Silk'n LED Face Mask is made of natural silicone material. This means that the mask is flexible, fits your skin perfectly and is comfortable to wear. The LED-lights of Silk'n LED Face Masks can get closer to your skin. This allows the light to penetrate deeper and evenly in the skin for better results.
  
  Furthermore, Silk'n LED Face Mask allows to treat your skin with 4 different LED-colours; each colour tackles a different skin concern.

• How does it work?

  The LED light (red, blue, yellow or purple) is absorbed by the skin and the dermis. This triggers cellular activity, which helps to renew skin cells and repair ageing tissue. After each treatment session, the skin looks more beautiful and radiant than before.

• Is it suitable for everyone?

  It is suitable for both women and men, for all skin types and all skin colours. This device is not designed for everyone's condition. Therefore please read the contraindications in the user manual in its entirety before you start your treatments.

• Is it safe?

  Silk’n LED Face Mask has been thoroughly tested with the conclusion that it is safe to use in a typical home environment by both men and women. Always read the manual carefully before using LED Face Mask.

• Does the treatment hurt?

  No. You will only feel a mild sensation of warmth during your treatment. You may also experience some very mild pink-like colouration of the skin during and just after the treatment, which will gradually fade within a short time.
  

• How should I use Silk’n LED Face Mask?

  After you have fully charged Silk'n LED Face Mask, you thoroughly clean and dry your face and hands. Make sure they are free from any make-up or dirt. Sit or lie down and place the face mask over your face. You can use the fasteners to fit the mask comfortably on your face. Finally, select one of the treatment therapies.

• Should I apply a serum or cream before the treatment?

  No, before the treatment your skin must be dry. But you can apply a serum or day/night cream after the treatment with Silk'n LED Face Mask.

• How long does a treatment take?

  In manual mode, one single treatment session takes 10 minutes in which 1 prefered LED colour will be active. The mask automatically switches off after 10 minutes.
  
  In auto mode, all 4 LED colours will be active and this treatment takes 15 minutes. The mask automatically switches off after 15 minutes.
  
  Important: we advice to treat your skin no longer than 15 minutes per session.

• How often should I use it?

  If you are using the product for the first time, follow the schedule
  below:
  
  First week Use once every 3 days, max. 10 minutes at a time.
  
  Second week Use once every 2 days, max. 10 minutes at a time.
  
  Third week Use once every 2 days, max. 10–15 minutes at
  a time.
  
  Fourth week Use once every day, max. 10–15 minutes at a
  time.
  
  As soon as results show, adjust the frequency to once or twice
  per week.

• When can I expect results?

  The effect of using this product mainly depends on your skin type. Additionally, results vary from person to person. Normally you can expect results in about 2-3 weeks.

• Should I do anything after the treatment?

  After treatment you can apply a serum and/or a day/night cream to nourish your skin.

• Can I take sunbaths?

  Yes. Because Silk’n LED Face Mask is not a laser, you can sunbathe immediately before or after the treatment. You don’t necessarily have to use a SPF cream, although this is always recommended due to the general ageing effect of UV light on the skin.
  

• Is there any recovery time?

  Silk’n LED Face Mask works in a different way from laser, which means that there is no need for a recovery period. The chance of skin damage is greatly reduced. You can immediately carry on with your daily activities.

• At what age can it be used?

  This device is suitable from the age of 18 and up.

• Am I allowed to use this device when I am pregnant or nursing?

  No, you are not allowed to use this device when your are pregnant or nursing.

• Should I close my eyes during the treatment?

  No, that is not necessary.

• Can I use this device if I have dermal fillers, botox or underwent professional (surgical) treatments like a facelift, micro needling and ablative RF/laser?

  This product was not tested on people who underwent dermal fillers, botox or professional (surgical) treatments. Therefore, we cannot advise to use this product in such cases. If one of these conditions applies to you, we advise to speak with your physician first, before you use LED Face Mask.
  
  In case you underwent micro needling or ablative RF/laser, we advise to wait till your skin has completely healed before you use LED Face Mask. In case you have any concerns, consult your doctor first before you use LED Face Mask.

• How do I clean my mask?

  You can clean the mask by using a damp cloth or a water-based wipe. Then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.
